9:26 and 53 seconds am on 14 March 2015 is a very significant time and date for mathematicians in the USA and possibly other parts of the world but not here in the UK.
Without using a search engine to help you does anyone know why?

9:26 and 53 seconds am on 14 March 2015 is a very significant time and date for mathematicians in the USA and possibly other parts of the world but not here in the UK. Without using a search engine to help you does anyone know why? The answer is that it will be Pi day. Pi is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter and is represented by the greek letter Pi (the sixteenth letter of the Greek alphabet written as π) Pi is what is known as an irrational number because it can never be written as an exact value. Computers have been used to calculate the value of Pi to over 1 million digits. A rough approximation is 22/7 (=3.1428571...), but that is not very accurate. So tomorrow in the USA it will be 3/14/15 9:23:56 which written as 3.141592653 is the value of Pi correct to the 9th decimal place. We will not have the same here in UK as 31/4/15 is not a valid date as there are only 30 days in April. The difference is because USA writes its dates a month/day/year we we write ours day/month/year.

now i am really weak in this kind of thing...mathematics, algebra or calculus, doesnt fancy me lol
but in our country we also write our date by day/month/year.
