Note: this is SJ's blog entry and i think i should post it here so others who arent reading her blogs can read this. I like the story......
This supposedly happened, in the days when a father-to-be didn't get to go into the delivery room while his wife was in labor. There were a number of fathers present and one in particular was pacing back and forth when the nurse came out of the delivery room and said, "Congratulations, Dad! Your wife just had twins!"
The man, surprised, replied, "Isn't that ironic, I play baseball for the Minnesota Twins!"
A few moments later, another nurse came to another man in the waiting room. Congratulations, sir! Your wife just gave birth to healthy triplets!"
After he gathered his composure, he said, imagine... triplets and i work for 3M!"
About that time another man darted out of his seat and headed for the exit. the nurse shouted after him, "Is something wrong?"
Over his shoulder he replied, "I work for 7-11 and I'm getting out of here!"
A devoted husband and father is a man who stands by his wife in troubles she wouldn't have had if she hadn't married him.
