The simple answer must be yes as this is the place of worship where we all go to build up our strength in the Lord. To have fellowship with like-mided people and share the word and tell other's what God is doing for us. What are your views? Do we need a church?

Yeah its good to have a church where you can worship with the others for fellowship. But church is not really necessary to gain favor with God. We are only a prayer away from our creator.

This is only my opinion, Church's not for me personally, I'm strong willed and dont need any guidance from others that may not have such enthusiastic ambitions in their life. But to meet with and discuss things with each other and sing together, gives some people hope, but why they need such expensive buildings and pay no taxes (AND STAND MOSTLY EMPTY), which I help pay beats my logical thinking, I dont think that's fair when some good hard working people cant get a roof over thier head and pay thier taxes and rates, most they could do is turn it into a nice block of flats for the poor and do them some good, in our area churches are empty and one just sold for £5000 (because no one used it) to a local builder that has now been told he cant build flats for the poor, because it's sacred ground.
What a load of bullnuts. Was it sacred before it was built, of course not. It's nonsence, ok some people love churches its there way of life. So why not make them pay for the buildings they use , I pay for theater tickets when I go out for my enjoyment or football, so a church entrance fee of $10 would be good and allow them to pay thier taxes and contribute to the societies they preach in, good luck in all you do in life be happy thats the main thing and the rest will follow and good luck for the future everyone.

Church people do pay for the building they use in Tithes and more than enough actually give more than you recommend. And as for that builder, he may not be allowed to build flats on that ground but that is only because the church has been there for so long. There should be more churches in this world proclaiming the name of God.

Good people if they pay for there own facilities, that's never been heard of here, this church no longer proclaims any name who ever it was before so I think it should be returned to the community , but thank s for your reply on this one artwrite, keep healthy wealthy and happy in life and we cant go far wrong, because we can help the not so fortunate.

I had been with the Seventh Day Adventist denomination since I was a baby. I was raised in a family where Saturday is our day of worship. Every morning my mom would never neglect to wake us all up to thank the Lord for the safe sound sleep and also ask for guidance and safety for the day and likewise in the evening before we sleep we thank for the blessings and safety all thru the day and safety for the night.
My grandfather whom I haven't met, since he died during the second world war and my dad was a small boy then. But my dad told us that he was a Godly man and before he died he donated a lot where the church we used to come and worship every Saturday stood until today. We never complained and every Saturday we are proud that our grandpa had this church for us where we are happy people at worship. We donated money and efforts just to make this church what it is now. We give our 10 percent of all our earnings, we call it tithe offerings and it never was a burden to us because we know God had showered us blessings and it overflows everyday. You will never feel the joy of giving unless u give freely to the Lord. The church where the memory of our grandfather lives, is a sacred sanctuary where we gather and worship and give our praises... but infront of our creator, its not the church that is important but the heart of the believer.
Unless we live in the countenance of His mercy and grace, we are all but a living dead to Him. Unless we accept the salvation he had offered to mankind by dying on the cross, we can never be partakers of the salvation.
You are his temple. He wants to dwell in you. The Holy Spirit is working in us. Let it work in our hearts and lets submit to His will. I believe that when the holy spirit dwells in a man's heart, he becomes pliant to his will and trusting and obeying to the Lord is never a problem. We live in the guidance of the Lord once we accept Him. God never fails.
Not our will Lord but thy will be done!!!

i think church is necessary for us to grow in our spiritual life.. coz there we can meet other chirstians who have the same belief we have and we got a chance to share and minister ... and we can always rely on our brother and sister in the church if we face problems ... chursh is where children of God come together to worship him..:-) God speed!
