I am not kidding i almost got scammed.
I had meet this guy in a dating site and thot he was for real. He even sent me dozens of red and white roses and was delivered to me by one of the most prestigious flower shop here in the Philippines and i was informed the order was from USA as the guy i had meet claimed to be from Florida USA. I was so impressed!!!
We chatted about a week and he sent me emails too... and he then informed me he had to travel on business to Africa. I never suspected anything wrong with a transaction to Africa. He talked about a million dollar contract business transaction. He informed me he would be travelling with his son so i said ok good.
Then later on after 3 days he informed me he got into a mess. He and his son got into accident and he is in a hospital with his son losing his legs and should be operated soon. I was shocked though i dont care alot about this guy but the fact that the incident seem to be scripted makes me think twice... but yes i told him i am going to help whatever i can to help him.
I checked his emails to me since from the start of our meeting and checked his IP. I was shocked at what i see. The following day.. i chatted to him and he is expecting i am going to send money to him. I told him "why cant the company you are into contract with cant help you?" he mumbled answers which i forgot coz i wasnt listening to him anymore. The next thing i did was telling him i have checked his IP address and have found he never travelled from US to Africa coz he was in Africa all along and that he is a liar. The telephone number he used in calling me wasnt from US but from Africa... and his english is not good enough for a US guy but for an African struggling to speak english.
After that incident i am getting smarter in dealing with my chatmates. And telling you guys.. so many scammers are infesting person.com too.. so beware i have encountered some there and they cant outsmart me.
