1 if you can't remember buying a ticket for their lottery you probably didn't. If you didn't buy a ticket you can't have won. Nobody gives away big lottery prizes unless they have sold more tickets than the prizes are worth. No reputable lottery ever requires you to pay a fee to collect your winnings.
2 an e-mail says "I like your profile on the site" but they don't say which site. Is your profile that contains your e-mail address publicly available on a site? There are no sites that I use/have used that ever put your e-mail up for all to see. If an e-mail starts with an obvious lie don't open it or reply.
3 an e-mail starts with "there is a problem with your account", "you are due for a refund", "your account has been blocked" it is almost certainly a scam even if the logo on the e-mail looks genuine. Copy and paste a logo from somewhere is very easy. No reputable organisation would send out an e-mail like that without some proof that it was genuine and none would ever ask you to confirm account details on line.
I have had some fun with some of the "women" from Nigeria and Ghana. I sound very enthusiastic and promise them whatever money they ask for. as soon as they provide me with the bank account details I need to transfer the money to them I forward that on to the specialist international fraud section of our police force here. Then the scammer goes into my ignore list

I had experience all of the things you mention here Steven. Not only online have scams but also in my phone. Its rampant online and there is not much security we can get to protect us from this thieves. Recently my friend in FB had been robbed from his credit card account and a friend also from yahoo with his bank. Should be careful with online banking...do not connect your prime bank accounts to your online transactions...dont wake up and find your money gone!
