If you have ever had a break up with your love then you will know just how devastating it can be,and upon reflection you probably became aware, too late,of the missed signs that all was not well.So if you remember those signs and bear them in mind, they can prevent you making the same mistakes again, and they can also help you get back together after a split.
A sure sign of impending troubles is the lack of physical contact, which does not just mean sex,and if your partner suddenly stops having an interest in sex, might possibly be a sign that a break up is coming, but be aware that the normal flow and rhythm of a relationship has times when there is lots of sex and other times when there is not so much, but this is quite natural and can be due to other problems.
A love break up is probably on the cards though if your partner stops holding your hand for no apparent reason, and stops putting an arm over your shoulder at the movies,or stops showing affection in public, when he or she always did it before,as any sudden changes like not touching you much outside the bedroom when your partner was always very affectionate before could signal that problems may be ahead. If it goes beyond not touching,to the person actually becoming uncomfortable at your touch, then you definitely need to discuss with your partner these issues and the reasons for this, but do not just assume that because your partner reacted badly to your touch that there is about to be a love break up,as many things can cause a person to not want to be touched at any given moment.
He or she might have been thinking of something else and been surprised or startled by the touch,or they might have thought that your touch signals that it is time to have sex, if you are not normally very affectionate except when you want to be intimate, and maybe your partner was not in the mood for sex then and chose to show you that by moving away from your touch,so that does not mean you are headed for a love break up.
Your partner might simply not be feeling too good,as every change in their behavior does not signal an impending love break up or even anything wrong with the relationship,so you have to watch them closely for a while to determine if some behavior is just an occasional thing, something brought on only during certain times or situations, or if it is a permanent change of the personality of your partner.
Catching your partner lying, even with what may seem like a small and harmless lie, could be a sign of problems, too, because after all,if a lie is small and harmless, then why lie in the first place, and lies beget more lies, becoming more and more damaging. However do not become convinced that a love break up is imminent, as people lie about many things that are not bad, like surprise parties and reunions, and your partner might be trying to keep a harmless and fun secret like that, instead of scheming about a love break up.
If you have any worries or suspicions about your partner, communication is the vital first move.
